The Best Days of the Year Are Here!
Did you know that every year, Allah prefers nine unique days over all others? These are the first nine days of Dhul Hijjah, a beautiful and precious period in the Islamic calendar. They are so full of blessings that even tiny acts of kindness can bring Allah great joy!
Let’s look at why these days are so significant and what incredible things we may do to please Allah.
What Does the Quran Say?
In the Quran, Allah says:
“By the dawn, and by the ten nights…”
(Surah Al-Fajr, 89:1-2)
Many scholars say these “ten nights” mean the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah. This means Allah Himself is telling us how important these days are!
What Did the Prophet (ﷺ) Say?
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“There are no days more beloved to Allah for you to do good deeds than these ten days.”
(Sahih Bukhari)
That means your prayers, fasting, helping others, or even smiling at someone is worth even more during these days!
The Most Special Day: Day of Arafah
The 9th day of Dhul Hijjah is called the Day of Arafah. It’s the day when millions of Muslims stand on the mountain plains of Arafat, begging Allah for forgiveness.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Fasting on the Day of Arafah wipes away the sins of the past year and the year to come.”
(Sahih Muslim)
Even if we’re not at Hajj, we can fast that day, and Allah will still reward us greatly. Isn’t this amazing?

4. Make Dua and Say Sorry to Allah

5. Help Your Parents
Clean your room, help in the kitchen, or carry groceries. Even a smile to your parents is an act of worship!
